Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations

Contact the surgery at least 8 WEEKS prior to travel

Please complete a travel vaccinations form available under “further information”. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations, which are not covered by the NHS. The Practice Nurse will advise you what these are prior to administering the vaccine.

Child immunisation

Weekly

Ante-natal

This clinic is run locally by midwives. If you become pregnant you can self refer to the Community Midwives Service by ringing 01228 814872. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at a local clinic or at the local hospital or both.

CHD (Coronary Heart Disease)

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse and advise the Receptionist that your appointment is for a CHD check up/annual review.

Asthma/COPD

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse and advise the Receptionist that your appointment is for a Asthma/COPD check up/annual review.

Diabetes

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse and advise the Receptionist that your appointment is for a Diabetes check up/annual review.

Cervical screening

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse and advise the Receptionist that your appointment is for a Cervical smear.

Flu Immunisation

These clinics are held every year beginning in September/October.

You should attend the flu clinic if you are: – 65 and over, are in an “at risk” group i.e Chronic chest conditions including Asthma, Diabetes, Heart, Liver or Kidney disease, or lowered immunity due to disease or treatment. A health care worker, carer or pregnant. Please ask at reception for details.

Minor injuries

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse and advise the Receptionist that your appointment is for a minor injury.

Chiropody Clinic

A full assessment of needs is available free to all NHS patients, by referral from their GP to the Local Chiropody Clinic. Diabetic assessment sessions are held at Grosvenor House and Morton surgery by prior appointment. To arrange an assessment, patients will need to book an appointment with their GP to arrange for this to take place.

Smoking Cessation

If you are thinking about stopping smoking, please contact your local pharmacy for further information.
