The practices are receiving an increasing volume of calls regarding the COVID vaccination booster program. Are you happy for the following statement to go on all websites and social media?
Please be aware the COVID vaccination booster program will be delivered at the Vaccination Centres and not through your GP practice. They we will be following the JCVI cohorts – as the program did originally – we are asking people to wait to be called by the NHS for their booster.
Please do not call your Practice as you cannot be booked in for a covid booster jab via the surgery.

We would encourage everyone aged 16 or over to ensure they have both first and second jabs – there must be an eight week gap between jabs.
People will be called for their boosters – jab 3 – in line with the priority cohorts identified by the Joint Committee of Vaccines and Immunisations (JCVI). This communication will come from NHS directly not via your surgery.
